G.R.O.W. is a comprehensive out-reach program designed to carry out the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 by touching the lives of people in our community. Members are asked to commit to Monday evenings to outreach... with several different avenues of out-reach and in-reach from which they can choose. You can't even understand the experience of out-reach until you do it. GOD will bless your socks off!
G.R.O.W. teams meet each Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. (NOTE: Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Beginning Sept. 7th)
G Team - 1st Monday
R Team - 2nd Monday
O Team - 3rd Monday
W Team - 4th Monday
All Teams - 5th Monday
During G.R.O.W., members may:
Pray. Prayer for all those involved in G.R.O.W. is a very important activity and is foundational to all we do.
Write letters. Cards and letters are written to our homebound members, missionaries, visitors and newcomers to our community.
Make phone calls. Phone calls are also made to check on members who are homebound or recovering from surgery or an illness.
Make visits. Members may also make hospital visits, or visit our homebound members or those in nursing homes.
Watch and learn. Help or go along with anyone to be "the silent partner".
G.R.O.W. has been very successful in other Baptist churches. It is built around Biblical principals--Sowing and Reaping! We know that when we plant a seed we hope for a harvest. While not all seed will produce a crop, we also know that if we don’t sow any seed we can be assured there won’t be any harvest.
G.R.O.W. is a very important aspect of our Chrisitan walk. Let's V.I.S.I.T.! Visiting people is a very important step in touching people for Christ!
