Pikes Peak Baptist Association is an association of the Southern Baptist Churches located in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado. There are currently 47 churches and missions in the association. Our geographical area consists of El Paso, eastern Teller, and southern Douglas Counties. Colorado Springs is the main city in our association, with a population of the metropolitan area being approximately 540,000 people.
Pikes Peak Bible Institute is a program for the development of leadership through Pikes Peak Baptist Association and Oklahoma Baptist University’s Ministry Training Institute. The twenty-first century church urgently needs dedicated and prepared Christian leaders to carry out effective relevant ministry. Pikes Peak Bible Institute is an educational program designed to equip Christians for leadership in a variety of ministry contexts so this need is met. Pikes Peak Bible Institute provides college-level courses which can be applied toward an Associate of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian studies, or a Second Bachelor degree. Courses are taught by qualified adjunct faculty using material prepared by members of OBU’s School of Christian Service faculty.
