G.R.O.W. (God Rewards Our Work)
G.R.O.W. is a comprehensive out-reach program designed to carry out the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 by touching the lives of people in our community. Members are asked to commit to just one or more Tuesday evening a month to outreach... with several different avenues of out-reach and in-reach from which they can choose. You can't even understand the experience of out-reach until you do it. GOD will bless your socks off!
G.R.O.W. teams meet each Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
G team - 1st Tuesday
R team - 2nd Tuesday
O team - 3rd Tuesday
W team - 4th Tuesday
All teams - 5th Tuesday
During G.R.O.W., members may:
1. Write letters. Cards and letters are written to our homebound members, missionaries, visitors, newcomers to our community, prospects, and absentees.
2. Make visits. Members may also make hospital visits, or visit our homebound members or those in nursing homes.
3. Make phone calls. Phone calls are also made to check on members who are homebound or recovering from surgery or an illness
4. Pray, pray for the worker and the prospects.
5. Watch and learn, Help or go along with anyone to be "the silent partner".
G.R.O.W. has been very successful in other Baptist churches. It is built around Biblical principals. Sowing and Reaping! We know that when we plant a seed we hope for a harvest. While not all seed will produce a crop, we also know that if we don’t sow any seed we can be assured there won’t be any harvest.
The five principles of G.R.O.W.
1) Sowing and Reaping - 1 Cor 3:8
2) Every Member Involvement - Matt 4:19
3) Outreach is Fun
4) Quality time is more important than Quantity time
5) Divine Appointment - Acts 8:26-31
